Amazing is the word you are looking for...almost done!

Jon has a little tile work to do yet, we are putting a second coat of paint on the door that you see is missing, and we are having my craft table installed tomorrow!!

Other than that..we are almost ready to hand the TV! Sadly, we can't afford furniture for the room, but we love it so much we will be happy to just sit on the floor!
YEAH!!

More Basement Updates!

Basement Updates!

Here are some pictures after the dry wall was up. In some of them you can see the track where the drop ceiling will be put in.

Before Pictures of the Basement

This opening is being closed off and a wall will be put here. Additionally, the area where you can see the 2 liters of "Morman Water" under the steps will be made into a cubby area.

Here the before picture. The wall used to have boards on it with shelves, but we tore those down a while back. (By we, I do mean Jon, but I think I helped a little..)

Day 1 progression

This is the wall that will have the closet on it. To the right will be a crafts area for me to do crafty things and put my sewing machine! I am SO excited!

Here you can see that they closed up that back walkway and you can also sort of see where the cubby under the steps will be. The wall is taken down, as you can see, and they put up that really big support beam to take the place of the support wall.

Part of the wall has been removed to open up the basement because the ceilings are going to be a little low. The steps and floor will be carpet, but that area at the base of the steps will be slate.

Jake is SO SWEET and likes to give Bruiser kisses.. however he decided while kissing Bruiser that he wanted to chew on a bone and the closest one was Bruiser's leg! So, what else would a sibling do but bite Jakes ear! They are so cute!!!!

18 week ultra sound

It is lumpy and I have no idea why. This was after I ate so I am blaming that.. :)

I ended up having to break this into 3 videos because it turns out it was almost 6 minutes long, which explains why it wouldn't load! :) I think they are in order. You can hear the lady talking and explaining some stuff as she goes. The COOLEST part is at the end of this first video, and then at the begining of the second video (I taped it twice on purpose so you didn't miss it!) she says HELLO to the baby and you can see its left hand wave at us! First indication that it will be a left handed quarterback. I am calling it now! She also points out when the baby starts pouncing on my bladder, which is fun! She had me get up and walk around to have the baby move and then we watched it some more. You could see the legs better at that point and they are really long!

The House

Here is a "before" picture of the house. Here, you can see that 1/2 of the carpet is up, there is a little bit of carpet padding, and then towards the bottom of the screen is some carpet. The next few pictures are the result of Jon being a work-a-holic and not sleeping for about 4 days! It looks AMAZING!!!

Itsy Bitsy

Benji LOVES the itsy bitsy spider. I would recommend watching this with the sound OFF, as I am the one singing and even manage to forget the words at one point! :) There is nothing better than when he looks up at you and smiles!!!
