Drew had her big gymnastics performance today! I don't know when I have been more excited (her Christmas performance for school, probably...).

She was wearing her awesome new leotard and looked amazing! She was so ready and had practiced so hard! What happened next will NOT happen when she reaches the Olympic level, I am certain... I don't want to say she "choked" per se... She had watched a class before her and was fine, she walked out onto the floor with her class and was fine, and she sat by the bars, waiting her turn and (we thought) was FINE. She turned to look at us, and her whole face was red trying to choke back tears! It was SO sad! Our shy girl didn't know what to do with all of those people watching her! She ran over to me and we talked to her and told her that the other people were there watching their kids, but we were the only ones watching her. She recovered nicely and was able to do all of the performances while only being mildly distracted! :)

She did have a minor wardrobe malfunction and Ms. Becka was very helpful and discrete for the most part but I was able to catch this shot! And the video below further shows off her mad skills AND cute tush-magee!

 

 

 

Halloween 2012

Drew was SO excited to go trick or treating, even though the only thing she knew was that she got to be "Gabby" and she got to carry her blue "basket"!

I love a good theme! Since Drew wanted to be Gabby, we all had to be olympians! We aren't certain which sport we all competed in, but we all got a gold!

Drew built that whole tower IN the block box. Such a good idea! :)

Drew's first ever clip on earings from Great-Oma! She LOVES them!

Drew was scared of the "yucky stuff" inside pumpkins at first, but once she realized it was just a little cold, she LOVED it and she scooped out my WHOLE pumpkin!

Clint loves resting his head on all things soft. He had been resting his head on Drew's chair and I missed getting a picture of it but this was a pretty cute consolation picture!

Clint is REALLY close! :)
He can sort of move forward, but as you see, it isn't exactly graceful! It is a combination bear crawl/crawl! :)

Updates-Clint is 6 months old and Drew is still cute!

Someone is so close to crawling! He loves to scoot all over and pull up to his knees.. let's hope he doesn't start too soon!

Clint had his shots today and Drew held his hand the whole time! It couldn't have been sweeter! Clint barely cried and she knows it is because she was there for him!

 Drew learned to "pose" for the camera! She is FINALLY playing dress up and I LOVE it!! These are her friends Lily and Caroline, who taught her all she knows!

 Drew started her swim classes up again! She absolutely LOVES the water and after just two classes is kicking SO strong (and from her knees which is amazing because they said most kids kick more like a bicycle kick) and floating really well on her back! Maybe we WILL have an olympic swimmer in the family yet! The smile on her face from when she gets in the water to when she gets out makes my heart happy!

 Clint has a new favorite toy! He doesn't mind the exersaucer or jumper toy, but LOVES this thing! He would stand here for hours if we let him!

 The crazy part is that he almost tries to WALK when he is in it and completely stands up! The video below shows it pretty well! Such a big boy already at 4 months old!

 Rootbeer float cupcakes and pink lemonade cupcakes! The kids tried to drink them! :)

 We got this "speedo" from a friend and we just couldn't resist taking a picture of him in it! HILARIOUS!

 Drew wanted to stand on her daddy's legs like Clinton had been doing in his speedo! "Drew's turn!"

Drew bug putting herself to bed for the first time. I was so proud of her but also REALLY sad. Thankfully for me, I turned of the light and she came and crawled into bed with me! :)

She loves to sing the 5 little monkeys song.. I should have taken a video earlier because at this point, she is clearly tired and skipping a lot of the words. Still cute! :)
